On March 29th, 2025, Pacifica Christian High School celebrated its 20th anniversary with a stunning gala at the iconic Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. The theme of the evening, "Looking Back," guided us through a reflective journey, honoring the remarkable work and dedication that have shaped our school over the past two decades. We pointed to memories and milestones and honored those who led the way.

On September 7, 2005, Pacifica opened its doors with just 42 students and eight staff members. Yet, the vision for this school was set in motion long before, when the founding committee gathered to pray and thoughtfully craft a mission—one that would establish an independent Christian high school committed to rigorous academics while welcoming students of all faiths. That bold vision has been realized beyond expectation.

The evening was a time to look back even further—to the very act of creation—expressing gratitude for God’s work throughout the generations and our school. As we honored our founders, we recognized their courage and faith in saying "yes" to something greater than themselves. Their commitment has led to Pacifica’s continued growth and impact on the Westside, Los Angeles, and beyond.

A highlight of the night was the incredible generosity of our community. The gala raised $1,120,530, which, combined with the $1,000,000 raised before the event, brings our total fundraising during this season of giving to an inspiring $2,000,000. These funds will make an eternal impact, ensuring Pacifica's continued excellence while meeting the practical needs of running a thriving school in Los Angeles.

In addition to financial support, Pacifica is experiencing tremendous growth in admissions, with applications up 60%. Our largest freshman class in history has joined us, and enrollment now exceeds capacity by 30 students. To accommodate this expansion, we are pushing forward with campus expansion to grow to 400 students, beginning with the groundbreaking of the Knight Quad this summer. This new space will provide students and staff a beautiful environment to study, gather, reflect, share meals, and play.

The anniversary celebration was a magical night filled with beauty, friendship, and gratitude. As we reflected on the past, we were also inspired to charge boldly into the future, carrying forward the mission and values that have defined Pacifica since its founding. We look not to the next 5 years but to the next 100 years, establishing a courageous vision that will impact future generations. As our founders have said, “Yes.” We share our vision with new generations who will say “Yes.” We are profoundly grateful for every individual who has shaped this school and for the continued support that will propel Pacifica into its next chapter.
