Take the first step to becoming a seawolf
Each year, we actively seek young men and women that aspire to pursue a rigorous, college preparatory, liberal arts education. Pacifica students experience a close-knit community and engage in multiple disciplines. The combination of these two elements allows students to be known, unlocking a world of undreamed possibilities. Our students are regularly involved in the arts, athletics, clubs, leadership, or STEM—and quite often all at once.
We are seeking students that will dive into their coursework with teachers that are knowledgeable and passionate about their field of study, well-trained in the art of teaching, compassionate, excited about the students they teach and substantial in Christian faith. We are seeking students who seek to deepen their spirit, thoughts, and character.
Applying to Pacifica is the first step on the journey towards your best, thriving life.
Admission to Pacifica Christian High School is highly selective for the 2024-2025 school year.
Applying as an Incoming Freshman
Step 1: Start Your Application
Visit the Pacifica Application portal and create your personal account. The process takes less than a minute and grants access to all the information you will need for the current application cycle. Login at any time to view your checklist and complete the items necessary for your application packet.
Candidates can apply online using the Pacifica Application or the Standard Application Online (SAO). Families applying to more than one independent school may find the SAO to be convenient. The choice of platform has no bearing on admission decisions.
The application fee is $75, and a GPA of 3.0 and above is recommended.
Step 2: Request Official Transcripts
Official transcripts from the first semester of the student’s current year and at least two prior full years are required. Transcripts are requested directly through your application portal and will be emailed to whom you specify.
Step 3: Request Recommendations
We require three recommendations: one from a school administrator, a current math teacher, and a current English teacher. Recommendations are requested directly through your application portal and will be emailed to whom you specify. You should make your requests approximately four weeks (or sooner) prior to the application due date.
Step 4: Complete Questionnaires
Both parents and students have several short questions which they need to answer. There is also a 300-500 word essay required of each student applicant. These items help us get a bigger picture of the applicant and a sense of why they are interested in Pacifica.
OPTIONAL: Character Skills Snapshot
In addition to recommendations, all applicants to Pacifica are strongly recommended to take the Character Skills Snapshot as part of our holistic evaluation of each child. Grades and test scores are only a partial representation of each candidate. The snapshot is a brief online assessment that lends us richer information and illuminates areas where Pacifica can help your child grow and thrive.
Step 5: Schedule a Family Interview
At least one parent or guardian and the prospective student must attend a family interview. Once registration is opened in late October, please sign up as soon as possible as interview slots are limited and fill up quickly. All application materials must be submitted prior to the interview, including transcripts and recommendations.
Step 6: Make Your Decision
Acceptances are announced on the first Friday in March! For those granted admission, a celebratory reception is hosted by Pacifica families and the Admissions Office, bringing together the next class of inspiring students. Students become part of the Pacifica family from day one!
Applying as a Transfer Student
