Having been an unmotivated high schooler myself, I found motivation in finding answers to some of life’s big questions. I enjoy working at Pacifica because I am able to ask those same big questions to young people who will never find their answers scrolling on a mobile device. I am encouraged daily to look past the surface of any subject in History, Theology and Philosophy and ask why it matters for us today. In this pursuit, I am enabled to follow the teachings of the Apostle Paul, who wrote, "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.” |
