Biography
About I developed a passion for coaching while providing surf and ocean safety instruction and education with the world-renowned Malibu Makos at Zuma Beach, where I spent 10 summers. With over 40 years of surfing experience, I’ve been an avid wave rider nearly all my life, getting my start on the gentle rollers in front of the Outrigger Canoe Club in Waikiki, not far from where I was raised in Oahu, Hawaii. My favorite city is Austin. The food and music scene is off the charts amazing. When I’m not getting barreled out of my mind, playing my guitars is a VERY close second. A book that I have found to be truly profound is The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm and my favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 24:26, “An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.”
