Pacifica College Counseling
Greetings! As the Dean of Students at Pacifica my
duties include the role of college counseling. I am overjoyed to play a part in walking down the road with
students towards their colleges of choice. By meeting with students individually
and in groups I hope to guide them
through the initial exploration and application process to their ideal college
decision.
Pacifica’s college counseling program is an extension of the school wide mission: emphasizing students to think critically and wisely about their college decision, seeking to cultivate their interest in learning, while encouraging lives of faith, character, and service to the glory of God.
In effort to assist students in this process, we have made a number of tools available on this site for them to access that will aid in this journey. We are also planning two college trips, one for the Fall and one for the Spring. On campus, we will be having 20-30 college representatives visit Pacifica. In addition to these activities, we will be hosting several grade level specific college information nights designed for parents and students to discuss the college admission process, present available tools, and assist with application preparation.
We believe that the college decision making process is a major transition in life and ought to be weighed heavily. Our goal is to equip each student with the resources needed to make the most informed decision possible.
